Mariveles, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) reinforced its push for stronger regional investment partnerships after participating in the ASEAN Business Environment Forum (ABEF) 2026 held on 11 March 2026.

AFAB was represented by Registration Division Manager Atty. Jayve A. Ritardo, who joined ASEAN ministers, senior government officials, and private sector stakeholders in discussions aimed at improving the region’s business climate and investment competitiveness.

The forum served as a platform to exchange policy insights and explore practical measures to position ASEAN as a leading hub for foreign investments. Key topics included regulatory improvements, ease of doing business, and strategies to attract high-quality investments across member states.

AFAB’s participation highlights its continued efforts to align with ASEAN’s economic priorities while promoting the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) as a strategic and competitive investment destination in the Philippines.

By engaging in high-level regional dialogues, AFAB aims to foster stronger collaboration and unlock new opportunities that will drive sustainable growth and development in the Freeport and beyond.
