CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), led by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. PA, elevated six officers to new ranks during a ceremonial donning of ranks held today at the AFP headquarters.

The newly promoted officers were headed by Lieutenant General Adonis Ariel G. Orio PA, the Commander of the Eastern Mindanao Command (EASTMINCOM). Other promoted officers included Major General Patricio Ruben P. Amata PA, Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7; Major General Arsenio D.C. Sadural PA, Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, J8; Major General Rosendo C. Abad Jr. PA, Commander of the Joint Special Operations Command; Brigadier General Dexter A. Macasaet PA, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, AJ4; and Brigadier General Joey T. Fontiveros PA, Commander of the AFP Cyber Command.

In his remarks, General Brawner underscored the added responsibilities that come with these promotions, stating, “With your new rank, you assume greater responsibilities and the trust placed upon you is immense. You must lead with unwavering confidence to strengthen peace and security in your areas of responsibility. There is no turning back—only forward. The AFP believes in your leadership, character, and dedication to duty.”

The promotion of these senior officers underscores the AFP’s continuing commitment to developing capable, mission-oriented leaders dedicated to safeguarding national security and advancing peace and stability throughout the country.
