SUBIC, Zambales — Students and faculty of Kolehiyo ng Subic welcomed a significant step toward digital learning as a new Computer Learning Hub was officially inaugurated on Friday, March 6, at the second floor of the newly built Subic Library.
The inauguration ceremony was led by First District of Zambales Representative Jefferson Khonghun who spearheaded the opening of the facility equipped with internet-connected computers aimed at strengthening students’ access to technology and online learning resources.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Rosely Agustin, President of Kolehiyo ng Subic, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the project, highlighting the importance of providing students with modern learning tools. She shared that the Computer Learning Hub features 25 computers with internet connectivity, made possible through the support of Congressman Khonghun and Jon Khonghun, Mayor of Subic, Zambales.
During his message, Congressman Khonghun thanked the companies that donated the computers, including Aboitiz Renewables Inc. and Sanmar Solar Company. He also shared a few humorous stories from his younger years, recalling a time when modern technology was not yet readily available, inspiring students to appreciate the opportunities they now have.
The congressman also encouraged students to take good care of the computers and use them responsibly, emphasizing that these resources can help them succeed academically and prepare for their future careers.

Following the program, the computers were formally activated, allowing students to experience the new facility firsthand. Many expressed excitement upon seeing the quality and specifications of the computers, recognizing how beneficial the hub will be—especially for students who do not yet have internet access at home.
