Subic Bay Freeport — Yootopea Restaurant proudly announces the grand opening of its newest branch in Subic Freeport, marking another milestone in its growing presence across Central Luzon. Founded in 2019, Yootopea has evolved from a humble concept centered on mango slushies and takoyaki into a vibrant Asian dining destination known for its diverse menu and welcoming atmosphere.
According to co-founder Kevin Basiño, Yootopea’s journey began with a simple but ambitious idea: to offer something different. “Back in 2019, there was a popular mango slushy brand with long lines. We told ourselves—we can create something unique,” Basiño shared. What started as a small food concept soon expanded into a full-service restaurant offering a wide array of Asian dishes.
Over the years, Yootopea has grown steadily, opening branches in Balanga and its well-loved Eskimo branch. The Subic location now stands as the third branch, with additional expansions planned in Subic Town, Olongapo City, San Fernando, Pampanga and Clark in the near future.

Like many businesses, Yootopea faced significant challenges during the global pandemic. Expansion plans were temporarily halted, prompting the team to pivot strategically by partnering with larger companies and adapting operations to meet changing market demands. These efforts strengthened the brand and positioned it for continued growth.

Yootopea operates under The Silver Pantry, a company founded by high school classmates who have been friends for over two decades. From playing basketball together in their youth to building a thriving restaurant business, the founders’ strong bond and shared vision continue to drive the brand’s success.
“Our friendship is the foundation of this business,” Aaron Del Rosario said one of the co-founder. “We’ve grown together, and now we’re growing Yootopea together.”
As Yootopea continues its expansion, the team remains committed to serving high-quality Asian cuisine, fostering community connections, and delivering an exceptional dining experience.
