Cabanatuan City – As Earth Hour was observed, the city dimmed its lights—but at two of its most loved mall, SM City Cabanatuan and SM Megacenter Cabanatuan, the night remained vibrant with purpose and community spirit.

At SM City Cabanatuan, the celebration took on an active twist through its Active Hub initiative, featuring a glow-in-the-dark pickleball game. Under blacklight, neon paddles and fluorescent balls energized the courts, drawing both players and spectators into a lively and memorable experience.

The event welcomed participants of all ages and skill levels, transforming the sport into a shared moment of fun and connection. More than just a game, it highlighted how sustainability efforts can be engaging, inclusive, and community-driven.

Meanwhile, at SM Megacenter Cabanatuan, an “Unplugged Session” offered a more relaxed atmosphere. Local performers delivered acoustic sets, inviting audiences to enjoy music in its simplest form while embracing the spirit of reduced energy use.

Together, the two events showed that Earth Hour can be both meaningful and enjoyable—proving that even in the dark, communities can come together and shine for a cause.
