Castillejos, Zambales – The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) Region 3, under the leadership of P/Gen. Richard A. Albano (Ret.), has awarded a Special Notice of Compliance (SNOC) to the Municipality of Castillejos for the approval of its Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP).
With this recognition, Castillejos becomes the second municipality in the Province of Zambales to receive a Notice of Compliance for an approved LPTRP. This milestone reflects the municipality’s commitment to building a safer, more organized, and more efficient public transportation system for its residents and commuters.
The initiative supports the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the leadership of DOTr Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez, and the guidance of LTFRB Chairman Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II in assisting local government units in the development and implementation of their LPTRPs. These plans play a vital role in assessing, rationalizing, and improving existing public transport routes within local jurisdictions in line with the Public Transport Modernization Program.
