Manila, Philippines — The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) is bringing healthcare closer to the people with the rollout of YAKAP, a government program created for every Filipino—from children to senior citizens, members and dependents alike.

With the establishment of YAKAP Clinics in the community, residents can now access early check-ups, proper treatment, and preventive care, helping prevent illnesses from becoming serious and reducing the need for hospitalization.

“Through YAKAP, we want families to feel that PhilHealth is present and ready to care for them,”  PhilHealth President Dr. Edwin M. Mercado said. “By detecting health concerns early and providing the right care, we help our communities stay healthy and strong.”

YAKAP supports healthier families and communities, reinforcing PhilHealth’s mission to make quality healthcare accessible, affordable, and responsive to local needs.
