Manila – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) is introducing a new digital payment process aimed at improving efficiency and accuracy in contribution payments. Beginning April 1, 2026, self-paying members will be required to generate a Statement of Premium Account (SPA) before making any payment.
The SPA Generator is part of PhilHealth’s ongoing digitalization efforts to streamline transactions and ensure that member contributions are properly recorded and credited. By generating an SPA prior to payment, members can help prevent errors in payment posting and maintain accurate contribution records, which are essential in accessing PhilHealth benefits.
In line with PhilHealth Advisory 2026-0016, a “No SPA, No Payment” policy will take effect for self-paying members, including Self-Earning Individuals, Professional Practitioners, and Overseas Filipinos, except sea-based migrant workers.
Members are encouraged to start using the SPA Generator ahead of the full implementation to ensure a smooth transition. The SPA can be generated online through the PhilHealth SPA Generator portal or by scanning the QR code available on the official PhilHealth website.
Once generated, the system will produce a QR-coded SPA containing the necessary payment details. Members may present this document to any PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) cashier or to any PhilHealth-accredited collecting agent when making payments.
Through this initiative, PhilHealth aims to reduce payment posting issues, speed up transaction processing, and enhance overall service delivery.
PhilHealth also advises members to transact only with authorized PhilHealth-accredited collecting agents and to avoid sharing their SPA with unauthorized individuals to protect their personal and payment information.
For the complete and updated list of accredited collecting agents, members may visit the official PhilHealth website. For further inquiries about the SPA Generator, members may contact the nearest PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office or call the Corporate Action Center at (02) 866-225-88.
