SUBIC, ZAMBALES — The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Subic convened its 1st Quarter Joint Meeting of key councils to reinforce peace, order, and anti-drug initiatives in the municipality. The meeting brought together the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (TF-ELCAC), and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC).
The session was held at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall in the Subic Municipal Hall and was attended by Mayor Jon Khonghun, newly appointed Chief of Police PLtCol Marcial Paganas, Municipal Fire Marshal Ramon Gutierrez, DILG Officer Stephany Panaligan, 1st Lt. Dense Kyle Bendaña, MDRRMO Officer Danilo Macamay, Councilors Ryan Gonzales and Joben Felarca, as well as barangay chairpersons.

Key discussions focused on strengthening the municipality’s anti-drug programs, particularly the status of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program and the implementation of the Community-Based Drug Rehabilitation Program. These initiatives aim to ensure safer communities through sustained prevention, enforcement, and rehabilitation efforts.
The joint meeting underscored the importance of collaboration among various local government units and partner agencies in addressing issues related to illegal drugs, public safety, and community resilience.
