TARLAC CITY  — The City Government of Tarlac marked the sixth day of fiesta this year with a vibrant street dance competition featuring young dancers from various schools.

Six groups from elementary schools and nine from high schools filled the city streets with performances that showcased Tarlac’s culture, creativity, and devotion to the Patron Saint Sebastian.

Mayor Susan Yap said the street dance competition serves as a platform to highlight the talent and artistic expression  among the city’s youth.

Care Elementary School receives the championship title in the elementary category of the Tarlac City Fiesta 2026 Streetdance Competition, portraying the lively and colorful Pista sa Nayon and celebrating local culture and community spirit. (Tarlac CIO)

In the elementary category, Care Elementary School emerged as champion with its lively and colorful Pista sa Nayon performance.

Second and third places were secured by Carangian Elementary School and San Jose Elementary School, respectively.

Meanwhile, Don Bosco Technical Institute clinched the championship in the high school category with expressive movements and a powerful routine symbolizing the choice of happiness despite life’s challenges

Celebrating alongside the champions were Sto. Cristo Integrated School, which claimed first runner-up, and Tarlac National High School, which took second runner-up.

Yap expressed her gratitude to the participants for bringing joy and excitement to the city’s celebration. “Thank you for bringing so much joy and happiness to Tarlac City,” she said.

The winning groups will represent Tarlac City in the upcoming Kanlahi Festival of the province. (Ara Jamica R. Reparejo PIA Region 3-Tarlac)
