San Narciso, Zambales – The Province of Zambales commemorated the 81st Anniversary of the historic Bloodless Landing through the Unveiling, Blessing, and Turnover of a newly constructed Monument and Park in Barangay La Paz, San Narciso, today.

The activity was held in remembrance of a significant event in the province’s history and as part of the continuing efforts to preserve and protect the cultural and historical heritage of Zambales. The monument stands as a symbol of peace, bravery, and unity exemplified by the guerrillas of Barangay La Paz during a crucial period in history.

The program was led by Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr. and attended by officials of the Local Government of San Narciso headed by Mayor La Rainne Abad-Sarmiento; Rear Admiral Karl A. Decapia, PN of the Naval Education Training and Command; and the Barangay Council of La Paz led by Punong Barangay Bienvenido Paz Jr.

Also present were Board Members Rundy Ebdane and Eric Matibag; Mayors Omar Ebdane and Byron Jones Edquilang; Vice Mayor Lance Ritual; provincial department heads; representatives from the San Narciso Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection San Narciso, Philippine Coast Guard San Narciso; the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy; municipal government officials; the San Narciso Schools District; barangay councils; and other guests and residents who took part in the commemoration.

Veterans’ groups likewise joined the event, including the Veterans Federation of the Philippines (VFP) 2nd District Zambales, VFP – Sons and Daughters Association, Inc., VFP – Zambales Retired Army Association, Inc., and the Philippine Navy Coast Guard Retirees Association.

The successful staging of the program was made possible through the joint efforts of the Provincial Government of Zambales under the leadership of Governor Jun Ebdane, in partnership with the Municipal Government of San Narciso led by Mayor La Rainne Abad-Sarmiento, together with the Barangay Council and residents of Barangay La Paz.
