The Pampanga Provincial Government, under the leadership of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, continues to elevate Kapampangan creativity and craftsmanship through Kariktan, a furniture-fashion presentation held during the Philippine International Furniture Show at the SMX Convention Center Manila.
The initiative underscores the province’s strong commitment to promoting local designers and manufacturers while showcasing Pampanga’s world-class artistry to a wider audience.
In support of the initiative, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos joined Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Nanay Partylist Representative Florabel Yatco, Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Board Member Fritzie David Dizon, Board Member Atty. Through the Kariktan presentation, the provincial government brought together some of Pampanga’s leading creatives. In fashion, the showcase featured the works of Mak Tumang, Philip Torres, Ditta Sandico, Frederick Policarpio, Marlon Tuazon, Mich Viray, Adrian Sahagun, and Rhon Balagtas, whose collections reflected the rich heritage and evolving artistry of Kapampangan couture.

Garcia Crafts, South Sea Veneer, and Venzon Lighting, showcasing finely crafted pieces that highlight the province’s legacy of excellence in furniture design and production.
