San Jose Del Monte City, Bulacan –  A major step toward accessible healthcare was achieved as the PhilHealth GAMOT program was officially launched at the City Sports Complex in Brgy. Minuyan Proper, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. The initiative was led by Mayor Ate Rida P. Robes in partnership with PhilHealth, the Department of Health (DOH), and 12 accredited YAKAP and GAMOT partner facilities.

A total of 786 residents benefited from the launch, receiving free health screening, medical consultations, laboratory services, and essential medicines. Present during the event were PhilHealth Acting Vice President Atty. Ma. Emily P. Roque, DOH representative Clair G. Alviar, PhilHealth Acting Branch Manager Arlan M. Granali, PhilHealth Sta. Maria Head Placido S. Mallari, City Health Officer Dr. Roselle Tolentino, along with representatives from local government units and partner healthcare providers.

The program was made possible through the collaboration of PhilHealth-accredited facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies committed to delivering quality primary care and medicines to the community.

PhilHealth and the local government strongly encourage all residents of San Jose del Monte to register as members and select their preferred YAKAP clinic within the city. This ensures faster, more convenient access to free consultations, diagnostic services, and 21 essential medicines.

In addition, members who have consulted with a YAKAP physician are eligible to avail up to ₱20,000 worth of 54 outpatient medicines annually from any accredited GAMOT pharmacy. The list of covered medicines is available at participating pharmacies for easy reference.

Accessing the Member Portal at www.philhealth.gov.ph

With plans to expand the number of accredited YAKAP clinics and GAMOT pharmacies, the initiative aims to strengthen primary healthcare delivery and ensure that every San Joseño has access to affordable, quality medical services.
