Mariveles, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) conducted its Audit Entrance Conference in the first week of January 2026, formally marking the start of the Audit of Accounts and Operations for Calendar Year 2025.
The conference gathered AFAB officials and the Commission on Audit (COA) audit team to align on audit objectives and underscore their shared commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance.
The COA audit team was led by Supervising Auditor Imelda S. Latay, with Marjorie G. Tinao serving as Officer-in-Charge and Audit Team Leader. Key discussions covered the audit scope, methodology, timelines, documentation requirements, and coordination mechanisms to ensure the smooth conduct of the CY 2025 audit.
AFAB management expressed full readiness to support all audit-related activities and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to strict compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements. By DMS
