Mariveles, Bataan —  The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), in close collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Dong-In Sunbirds Corp., has officially launched the first batch of its Skills Development Training Program as part of its ongoing workforce development initiatives.

The program has enrolled 14 trainees who will undergo 7 to 12 days of intensive, hands-on training designed to enhance their technical competencies and prepare them for employment opportunities within the Freeport Area of Bataan.

A key feature of the initiative is its direct employment pathway. Upon evaluation, qualified trainees may be considered for immediate hiring by Dong-In Sunbirds Corp., reinforcing AFAB’s commitment to bridging skills development with actual job placement.

“This program reflects our continued commitment to empowering individuals through practical skills training while strengthening industry partnerships that create real employment opportunities,” a representative from AFAB said.

Additional training batches are expected to roll out in the coming months, further expanding the program’s reach and providing more beneficiaries with access to skills development and sustainable employment opportunities.

Through this collaborative effort, government support programs are effectively linked with private sector partners, promoting inclusive growth and increasing access to meaningful career opportunities within the community.
