CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Provincial Government of Pampanga reported that 292 trainees have successfully completed its short course training programs, with graduates recognized during a ceremony held on April 13 at the Provincial Capitol.
Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, along with members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, led the awarding of financial assistance and certificates of completion. The graduates each received ₱2,000 to help them as they transition into employment.
Provincial officials highlighted the importance of skills development in improving job readiness, noting that the programs are designed to meet both local and international employment demands.
The provincial government will also assist graduates in obtaining their National Certificate II (NC II) through the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), a qualification widely recognized by employers across various industries.

In partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Pampanga Provincial Employment Office is set to support graduates in job placement, ensuring that their acquired skills are matched with available opportunities.
Governor Pineda urged the graduates to make the most of the opportunity given to them and to remain determined in pursuing their career goals, assuring them that their skills are in demand within the province.
Training programs were conducted through the Provincial Government’s Manpower and Training Center in collaboration with TESDA and Pampanga State University (PSU), covering courses such as automotive servicing, electrical installation, welding, housekeeping, heavy equipment operation, and solar installation.
One of the graduates, 65-year-old Antonio Galura, a retired Bureau of Fire Protection personnel, shared his gratitude for the opportunity to undergo free training, which he hopes will help him find work abroad and reunite with his family in New Zealand.
The initiative is part of Pampanga’s continuing efforts to enhance workforce competitiveness and provide residents with accessible pathways to sustainable employment.
