Clark Freeport—Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera urged new graduates to seize job opportunities in Clark, positioning the Freeport as a launchpad for careers amid a rapidly changing global workforce.
Speaking before 870 graduates of Concepcion Holy Cross College Inc. (CHCCI) during its 29th Commencement Exercises at SMX Convention Center Clark on April 30, Atty. Devanadera said uncertainty now defines the labor market, with roles and skills evolving quickly.
“According to research, nearly 40 percent of core job skills are expected to change within this decade,” she noted, adding that some graduates may take on jobs that do not yet exist.
She stressed the need for adaptability and early exposure to industry.

“While the school prepares everyone with solid academic foundations, you still need exposure, because realities outside are very different,”she said.
The CDC chief pointed to Clark’s expanding economy, nearly 1,300 locators and over 151,000 workers across aviation, logistics, manufacturing, IT, and tourism, as a concrete starting point.
She also highlighted CDC’s Town and Gown Program, which links schools with industry through internships and training. Since 2024, hundreds of students, including those from CHCCI, have gained work exposure through the initiative.
To support job seekers, she urged graduates to explore jobsatclark.com.
“The demand for talent is not slowing down. It is accelerating. For your first step, touch base with jobsatclark.com—you will find openings, who is hiring, and what skills are needed,” she said. (PR-CDC)
