CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) intensified its campaign against illegal drugs following the arrest of three high-value individuals (HVIs) in separate anti-drug operations conducted in Nueva Ecija and Bulacan on May 21, 2026.

In Bongabon, Nueva Ecija, joint operatives from the Bongabon Municipal Police Station and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company arrested a female HVI during an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Kaingin.

Authorities confiscated approximately 51.30 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of Php348,840.00 during the operation.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Bagong Buhay 1, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, operatives from the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the San Jose Del Monte City Police Station arrested two additional HVIs in a separate anti-drug operation.

Recovered from the suspects were around 110 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately Php748,000.00, along with marked money, a caliber .38 revolver, and several live rounds of ammunition.

Police Brig. General Jess B. Mendez, Regional Director of PRO3, commended the operating units for the successful operations and reiterated the police force’s commitment to sustaining aggressive anti-illegal drug efforts across Central Luzon.

“These successful operations reflect our firm commitment to protecting communities against illegal drugs and criminality. PRO3 will continue to intensify intelligence-driven operations in line with our goal of delivering serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman,” Mendez said.

The arrested suspects are now under police custody and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while additional charges are being prepared in connection with the recovered firearm and ammunition. (Jason de Asis)
