Representatives from San Jose Onshore Wind Power Corporation turned over first aid kits, blood pressure monitor sets, and a stretcher to Barangay Joson officials and frontline health workers on May 4 as part of the company’s community safety and preparedness initiative in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija. Nueva Ecija — As part of its ongoing commitment to responsible project development and community safety, San Jose Onshore Wind Power Corporation, a subsidiary of Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), rolled out a community safety and emergency preparedness initiative last May 4, 5, and 12 in coordination with local stakeholders in Nueva Ecija.
The initiative aims to strengthen barangay-level health and emergency response capacities through access to essential equipment and improved community preparedness. Initial implementation covers Barangays Joson and Puncan in Carranglan and Brgy. Malasin in San Jose City, with subsequent phases planned for other barangays in the Municipality of Lupao and San Jose City.Developed through coordination with barangay officials and frontline workers, the program is designed to address identified gaps in basic healthcare and emergency response systems. It forms part of the company’s broader approach to community engagement, anchored on safety, preparedness, and long-term partnership.

“Ensuring that communities are equipped to respond to everyday health needs and emergencies is an important part of responsible project development. We are working closely with local stakeholders to support practical, community-based solutions that strengthen safety and preparedness over time,” said Jason Gavina, Head of External Relations of CIP.
Barangay health workers and responders in Puncan expressed their appreciation for the initiative, noting that it supports their ability to deliver timely and effective frontline services in the community. They also highlighted the importance of strengthening frontline capabilities, particularly in supporting routine monitoring, first aid, and initial emergency response at the barangay level.Meanwhile, barangay health workers from Brgy. Malasin, San Jose City, Nueva Ecija received newly donated blood pressure monitors, medical kits, and a stretcher during a turnover activity held on May 12. Local health workers said the assistance would help improve the barangay’s capacity to provide basic healthcare services and respond to community medical emergencies.

The rollout in Carranglan and San Jose City is part of a phased implementation across the company’s host communities, with a focus on sustained engagement and alignment with local priorities.
