Subic Bay Freeport – The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) law enforcers apprehended a suspect involved in a hit-and-run incident at the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) tollgate in this Freeport on June 2, 2026.

According to the Law Enforcement Department (LED), the SCTEX dispatcher called the SBMA regarding a hit-and-run incident involving a gray Isuzu Crosswind with license plate no. NAI-8382, which caused damage to property at the SCTEX Toll Gate.

As a search operation was conducted for the said vehicle, the LED again received another complaint from the Flying V Gas Station along Argonaut Highway about the subject vehicle fleeing the area without paying after refueling.

LED’s Traffic Control Point No. 04 spotted the vehicle heading towards the Central Business District (CBD), prompting the LED to implement CODE 130 (Close All Gates) to prevent the subject vehicle from exiting the Freeport Area.

During the hot pursuit along the stretch of Tipo Road, the subject vehicle repeatedly attempted to hit LED SWAT personnel and patrol units, prompting LED officers to disable the vehicle by shooting its tire, which led to the arrest of the driver of the said vehicle.

The suspect earlier refueled his vehicle at Angono, Rizal, before heading to the Subic Bay Freeport. The report stated that the suspect refueled at Clean Fuel and did not pay the ₱1,430.25 bill. The gas station owner tried to chase the vehicle, but the driver sped towards McDonalds Aurora, hitting a motorcycle in the process. The owner said that the money is a huge loss for her since she is a single parent raising two kids.
