FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija — The 7th Infantry “Kaugnay” Division (7ID), Philippine Army, celebrated its 38th Founding Anniversary on August 1, 2026, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to national security, military professionalism, and whole-of-nation partnerships under the theme, “7ID@38: Pamilya at Malasakit – Sandigan Tungo sa Matatag at Matibay na KAUGNAY.”
The anniversary highlighted the Division’s nearly four decades of dedicated service in safeguarding the Filipino people, preserving peace and security, and supporting national development. It also honored the invaluable contributions of soldiers, civilian human resource personnel, retirees, and stakeholders whose commitment has strengthened the Kaugnay Division into one of the Philippine Army’s premier multi-domain-capable maneuver divisions.
Key activities included the Anniversary March of Former 7ID Commanders, the participation of retired officers and enlisted personnel, the inauguration of the 7ID Working Museum, the recognition of outstanding units, personnel, Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit Active Auxiliaries (CAAs), ROTC cadets, and partners, as well as the Anniversary Socials that celebrated the Division’s rich heritage and continued transformation.
During the celebration, the 7ID received the Army Governance Pathway (AGP) Institutionalized Status, recognizing its sustained excellence in governance, organizational systems, and institutional integrity. The award was presented by Lieutenant General Donald M. Gumiran, Commanding General, Philippine Army, and received by Major General Joseph Norwin D. Pasamonte, Commander of the 7ID.
In his remarks, Major General Pasamonte described the anniversary as both a celebration of the Division’s legacy and a renewed commitment to its enduring values of discipline and excellence. Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Gumiran commended the 7ID for its significant contributions to territorial defense, force development, and organizational transformation, citing innovative initiatives such as Teatro Kaugnay: “LIYAB,” which promotes patriotism and strengthens national identity.
As it enters its fourth decade of service, the 7th Infantry Division remains committed to fostering stronger partnerships, enhancing operational readiness, sustaining peace and security, and contributing to a safer, more resilient, and progressive Philippines.
