PILAR, Bataan — The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), through its Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in Pilar, has donated 10 cubic meters of confiscated timber to the Bataan Police Provincial Office to support the construction and improvement of police facilities across the province.
The donated timber will be utilized in the construction and upgrading of the police bases and barracks of the 1st District Provincial Mobile Force Company in Balanga City, as well as in the municipalities of San Pablo, Dinalupihan, and Hermosa.
Marivic Santos, Head of CENRO Pilar, said the initiative demonstrates the DENR’s commitment to ensuring that confiscated forest products are put to productive and lawful use for the benefit of the public.
DENR Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo emphasized that the proper disposition of seized forest products reflects the agency’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and sustainable resource management.
“By redirecting seized timber to legitimate government projects, we are maximizing the use of recovered resources while supporting initiatives that strengthen public service and community safety,” Pablo said.

The donation was formalized through the signing of a Deed of Donation held in Pilar, Bataan. The deed was accepted on behalf of the Bataan Police Provincial Office by Force Commander Police Lt. Col. Elias Tait.
The turnover underscores the continued collaboration between the DENR and the Philippine National Police in promoting responsible governance, efficient use of government resources, and enhanced public safety through improved law enforcement facilities.
