OLONGAPO CITY — The Subic Bay Freeport Electronics Recyclers Association Inc. (SBF-ERA) extended grocery assistance to 100 families in Barangay Tabacuhan, Julo, Olongapo City on September 5, 2026, as part of its continuing corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.

The initiative provided much-needed grocery assistance to families in the neighboring community, underscoring SBF-ERA’s commitment to supporting communities within and around the Subic Bay Freeport.

The activity was made possible with the assistance of Purok Leader Danny and was led by SBF-ERA President Iman Ong, together with association members and Pollution Control Officers (PCOs) who personally participated in the distribution.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this CSR initiative. More than the grocery assistance we provided, we hope that this small gesture reminds the families in our neighboring community that they are not alone. As members of the Subic Bay Freeport community, we believe that giving back and helping one another is part of our responsibility,” said Sheryll Miranda of SBF-ERA.

Those who took part in the distribution included Sheryll Miranda and Erica of Misung; Joahna Tan of Misung; Donna Tabtab and Joel Santillan of GGG; Jennifer Tagata of Jack; Joan of Recypoint; and Marjorie of Juz.

The CSR initiative reflects SBF-ERA’s efforts to complement its environmental advocacy with programs that promote community welfare and social responsibility.

Beyond providing immediate assistance, the activity also strengthened ties between the Subic Bay Freeport business community and residents of neighboring areas.

The outreach underscores the importance of cooperation among businesses, community leaders and residents in building a more caring, responsible and sustainable community.

SBF-ERA expressed its appreciation to its members, PCOs and community partners who helped make the outreach activity possible, reaffirming its commitment to supporting meaningful programs that benefit communities in and around the Subic Bay Freeport.
