Mariveles, Bataan โ The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive and socially responsive governance as AFAB Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Hussein Pangandaman conducted a courtesy call with JSINSP Don Mari Phil B. Frayna, Jail Warden of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Mariveles Municipal Jail.
The meeting served as a platform to discuss potential institutional partnerships aimed at advancing the welfare and rehabilitation of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) through corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Among the areas explored were the possible turnover of usable materials and sewing scraps, the conduct of capacity-building seminars such as sewing and welding, and employment opportunities where Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) locators may engage qualified PDLs in product manufacturing.
Both parties likewise discussed broader collaboration opportunities involving FAB locators and potential AFAB support initiatives aligned with rehabilitation programs that promote skills development, productivity, and improved reintegration outcomes for PDLs.
The engagement highlights AFABโs continuing efforts to forge meaningful partnerships with government institutions in support of social development, rehabilitation, and inclusive economic participation.
