The engagement also highlighted APECO’s participation in the LEC Investment Forum, where the economic zone engaged potential partners and stakeholders on opportunities for investment and collaboration.
Although APECO is located on the other side of the Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC), its strategic location could allow it to serve as a redundancy node for LEC investments, providing businesses with an additional location to support supply-chain diversification and resilience.
APECO President and CEO Usec. Gil G. Taway IV said its location and development potential could complement investments within the LEC by providing opportunities for companies seeking to diversify their operations, strengthen supply chains and establish alternative production or support facilities.
The ecozone is particularly looking at opportunities in defense-related manufacturing and services, energy, digital connectivity and infrastructure, among other sectors.
Taway said engagements with foreign investors and business stakeholders form part of APECO’s efforts to build partnerships that could translate into investments, employment opportunities and broader economic activity in Aurora.
Also present during the US Embassy meeting were APECO Public Relations Chief Kris M. Crismundo and OPCEO Technical Staff Leonardo M. Malagar.
APECO said it will continue to pursue investment and business-development engagements across sectors as it seeks to establish the economic zone as a strategic investment location and contribute to sustainable economic growth in the region.
