A beloved homegrown brand in Cabanatuan City, Edna’s Cakeland marked a milestone with the launch of its newly renovated store at SM City Cabanatuan, doubling its floor area from 75 to 150 square meters. The expansion ushers in a brighter, more spacious, and more inviting experience for customers, reflecting the brand’s continued growth and commitment to its community.
The newly renovated branch is now the biggest Edna’s Cakeland store among its five SM mall locations, featuring expanded space and a wider product selection while strengthening its connection to the city where its story began.
Edna’s Cakeland traces its roots to 1994, when Edna Gonzales and her husband, Herminio “Eniong” Gonzales, began their journey as homegrown entrepreneurs. What started as a local venture has since blossomed into a growing brand with a presence across Luzon.

The launch was attended by the couple, their daughter, Anna Margarita Gonzales, her husband, Justin Cayugan, and family and friends, celebrating not only the store’s transformation but also the family’s enduring role in the brand’s journey.
From its Cabanatuan roots, Edna’s Cakeland has expanded to 11 branches across Luzon, carrying its homegrown identity and beloved offerings to more communities.
The renovated store features wider counters, enhanced product displays, and a broader selection of pastries, coffee, and meals. Its aesthetic blend of wood-inspired elements and greenery creates a warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere where customers can relax, gather, and enjoy their favorites.
Adding to the celebration was the launch of Tita Edna, Edna’s Cakeland’s first-ever mascot. Bringing a playful and memorable personality to the brand, Tita Edna represents another step in the company’s evolving identity while honoring the legacy behind its name.
Visit the newly renovated Edna’s Cakeland on the second level of your most loved SM City Cabanatuan and savor the homegrown pride and flavors cherished by Cabanatueños and Novo Ecijanos alike.
