DINGALAN, Aurora — Infrastructure projects worth a combined P125.45 million broke ground in Dingalan, Aurora on Oct. 2, covering a new bridge in Barangay Caragsacan and a six-classroom school building in Barangay Paltic.
The projects are expected to improve transportation connectivity and expand educational facilities for residents, particularly students and communities in the municipality.
According to information from the office of Cong. Rommel Angara, the groundbreaking ceremonies covered the P105.336-million Caragsacan Bridge and the P20.114-million two-storey, six-classroom multipurpose building at Paltic Elementary School.
The Caragsacan Bridge will have a length of 75 linear meters and will include 611 meters of asphalt overlay, 32 meters of concrete slope protection and river-control measures using gabions with mattresses, stone masonry and grouted riprap.

The project also includes solar-powered roadway lighting, reflectorized pavement markings, hazard and regulatory signs, metal beam end pieces and about 484.4 linear meters of metal guardrails.
The bridge is expected to provide safer and more reliable access for residents and road users in Caragsacan and nearby communities, while supporting the movement of people, agricultural products and other goods.
At Paltic Elementary School, the P20.114-million project will provide a two-storey, six-classroom building equipped with facilities intended to support a safer and more conducive learning environment.
The school building will include fire alarm and fire-extinguisher systems, a water pumping system, exhaust and ceiling fans, a solar power system with inverter and battery, a standby generator, blackboards, teachers’ tables and chairs, and 90 monoblock chairs with writing boards.
The projects were attended by PA Shierwin Taay, Vice Gov. Patrick Angara, Bokal Jake Galban and Bokal Lloyd Delos Reyes, as well as Dingalan Mayor Aurora Taay, Vice Mayor Nhorwin Capulong, members of the Sangguniang Bayan and barangay officials.
Also during the activities, one unit of speaker was awarded to Dingalan Community College.
The combined investment of P125.450 million reflects spending in two critical areas—transport infrastructure and education—with the bridge aimed at strengthening community connectivity and the school project expanding classroom capacity.
Local officials said the projects are expected to provide facilities that can be used by residents and students for years to come as Dingalan continues to improve basic infrastructure and public services.
The projects are part of ongoing development efforts in Aurora under the “Sulong Aurora” thrust, with infrastructure investment aimed at improving access, mobility and opportunities for communities.
