The repairs and refurbishment were carried out by Golden Arrow Trading with assistance from the Naval Shipyard, Sea Systems Command, Philippine Navy, and the ship’s crew.

With its return to service, BRP Emilio Jacinto will operate within the area of responsibility of the Naval Command Western Mindanao (NCWM), supporting naval operations in the region.

Bolor emphasized that restoring the vessel was only the first step, with the crew now expected to translate the ship’s improved material condition into operational readiness at sea.

“You have worked through the requirements of restoring the ship, its systems, and its material condition. Now, the work continues at sea,” Bolor said.

He urged the crew to remain vigilant, disciplined and proficient in operating the vessel and its systems.

The deployment forms part of the Philippine Navy’s implementation of the Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept (CADC), which seeks to sustain naval presence and readiness across the country’s maritime areas.

PS35 will support territorial defense, maritime patrol, logistics and other assigned missions in Western Mindanao, adding an operational naval asset to the Philippine Navy’s efforts to secure the country’s waters.
