BALER, Aurora — The Municipal Government of Baler and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) have forged a partnership to expand access to skills training and technical-vocational programs for residents.
The agreement will pave the way for the implementation of the Community-Based Training and Extension Program, bringing skills development opportunities closer to communities and tailoring training to their specific needs and circumstances.
The program is expected to provide residents with practical skills that can be used to secure employment, start small businesses or pursue other livelihood opportunities.

Through the partnership, training programs will be designed to respond to the needs of beneficiaries, particularly those seeking additional skills to improve their income and employment prospects.
Local officials said the initiative will help strengthen community-based skills development by making technical-vocational education more accessible to residents.
The partnership also supports efforts to develop a more skilled local workforce while creating additional opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship and livelihood at the community level.
