SAN NARCISO, Zambales — The Municipality of San Narciso is preparing to revive the Rang-Rang-Ay Festival in 2027, positioning the triennial celebration as a potential driver of tourism activity, local business and community livelihood.

Held every three years, the festival is expected to draw residents, returning Narciseños and visitors to the municipality for a celebration of local culture, traditions and San Narciso’s identity.

Beyond its cultural significance, the festival is seen as an opportunity to stimulate economic activity by bringing more visitors into the town and creating additional demand for accommodations, food establishments, transport services, tourism attractions, local products and other community-based enterprises.

The return of Rang-Rang-Ay also provides local businesses and tourism stakeholders an avenue to showcase products, services and experiences while strengthening San Narciso’s presence as a tourism destination in Zambales.

The name “Rang-Rang-Ay” carries the spirit of progress, prosperity and collective growth, reflecting the community’s effort to pursue development while preserving its cultural heritage.

Municipal preparations are expected to include cultural and tourism activities that will highlight San Narciso’s traditions and local attractions, while providing opportunities for residents and entrepreneurs to participate in the celebration.

The festival also serves as a homecoming, encouraging former residents and families to return to San Narciso and reconnect with their roots. Their return is expected to generate additional visitor spending that can benefit local businesses and livelihood activities.

With the 2027 celebration, San Narciso is looking to turn the return of Rang-Rang-Ay into both a cultural homecoming and a platform for tourism promotion, local enterprise development and inclusive economic activity.
