CLARK FREEPORT ZONE — The Clark Development Corporation (CDC) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) Region 3 brought environmental permitting services closer to stakeholders in the Clark Freeport Zone through a two-day Permitting on Wheels (POW) activity held on Oct. 7 to 8.

The activity, conducted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Clark Event and Conference Hall, aimed to make government services more accessible and streamline the processing of environmental permits and related requirements.

CDC, under the leadership of President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, supported the initiative, with its Environmental Permits Division assisting in the delivery of on-site permitting screening and technical assistance.

The POW covered various services related to environmental compliance, land and natural resources, and mining. A technical session on the framework of environmental laws and regulations was also conducted to help stakeholders better understand applicable policies and requirements.

The initiative forms part of efforts to improve access to government services for businesses and other stakeholders operating within the Clark Freeport Zone.

It also complements CDC’s continuing ease-of-doing-business initiatives, including its One-Stop Shop (OSP) on Wheels program, which seeks to bring government services directly to stakeholders.

By providing on-site assistance and permitting guidance, the activity aimed to help stakeholders navigate regulatory requirements while supporting environmental compliance and efficient business operations in Clark.
