CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — Five suspected drug personalities were arrested and approximately 174.84 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 1,188,912 were seized in three anti-illegal drug operations in Olongapo City and Bataan on October 12, 2026, police said.
In Olongapo City, operatives arrested two newly identified high-value individuals during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Rita at around 11:45 p.m. Police recovered 61.84 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 420,512, along with the marked money used in the operation.
Earlier, at around 6:15 p.m., personnel of the Orani Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Bataan, arrested two individuals in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tapulao, Orani. Authorities seized 51 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 346,800, marked money, and a mobile phone.
In Mariveles, Bataan, another suspect was arrested during an anti-drug operation in Barangay Alasasin at around 5:45 p.m. The operation, conducted by personnel of the Mariveles Municipal Police Station, Bataan Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, resulted in the recovery of 62 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 421,600, a mobile phone, a sling bag, and a .45-caliber pistol with a magazine and two rounds of ammunition.

Police said the seized evidence was documented in accordance with established procedures.
Police Regional Office 3 Director Brig. Gen. Jess B. Mendez said the operations reflected the continuing efforts of police units to curb the illegal drug trade through intelligence-driven enforcement and inter-agency coordination.
“These operations show what sustained intelligence work, coordination, and focused enforcement can accomplish,” Mendez said, adding that police would continue pursuing individuals involved in the illegal drug trade while ensuring that operations are conducted in accordance with the law.
The arrested individuals are expected to face charges for alleged violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The suspect arrested in Mariveles may also face a separate charge under Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, in connection with the recovered firearm.
The operations form part of the Philippine National Police’s continuing efforts to intensify anti-illegal drug enforcement and maintain peace and order in Central Luzon. (Jason de Asis)
