The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), led by President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang, met with Wyman Xu, Chief Executive Officer of MaxFusion Group Inc., a global renewable energy company, to discuss the proposed establishment of a 40-hectare solar renewable industrial park within the Clark Civil Aviation Complex.

The proposed development is envisioned as a regional hub for next-generation solar cell, module, and Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) manufacturing. It aims to attract complementary investments across the solar vertical supply chain, strengthening the Philippines’ position in the regional renewable energy ecosystem.

Plans under discussion also include the deployment of on-site and nearby solar power generation facilities to support the industrial park’s energy requirements, reinforcing its low-carbon, resilient, and self-sustaining design.

The project aligns with national priorities to accelerate the country’s renewable energy transition, promote sustainable and high-value industrial growth, and increase foreign direct investment—key pillars of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s renewable energy and economic development agenda.

Following the meeting, officials from BCDA, the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), and MaxFusion Group conducted a site inspection in Clark. This activity underscored continued investor confidence and interest in BCDA-managed areas as strategic locations for renewable energy development and advanced manufacturing initiatives.

The proposed solar renewable industrial park highlights Clark’s growing role as a center for innovation, sustainability, and green industrialization in the region.
