Freeport Area of Bataan — The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), through its FAB Enterprise Department – Registration Division (FED-RD), continues to strengthen transparent and participatory governance with the successful conduct of a public consultation on the proposed Policy on Enterprise Leasing. The consultation was held on 4 February 2026 at the AFAB Auditorium.

The activity aimed to brief FAB Enterprises (FEs) on the proposed policy, which sets forth the rules and guidelines governing the lease of AFAB properties. These include applications for lease and sublease, as well as other contract-related matters covering industrial and commercial areas under the supervision of the FED-RD.

During the consultation, AFAB presented the key provisions of the proposed policy, followed by an open forum that allowed participants to raise questions, seek clarifications, and share insights. This interactive exchange underscored AFAB’s commitment to ensuring that stakeholders are well-informed and actively engaged in the policy development process.

The consultation was attended by 50 representatives from FAB Enterprises that directly lease from AFAB, including enterprises with existing subleasing arrangements. The proposed Policy on Enterprise Leasing was initially published in The Philippine Star on 22 December 2025, in line with requirements for public notice and stakeholder engagement.

Through initiatives such as this consultation, AFAB reaffirms its dedication to fostering clear policies, responsive governance, and a business-friendly environment within the Freeport Area of Bataan.
