San Marcelino, Zambales – Linasin Elementary School emerged as Champion during the Singkamas Festival Drum and Lyre Competition held on February 18, 2026, at the Plazuela in San Marcelino.
The event, organized by the SB Office led by Alex Mauricio in partnership with DepEd San Marcelino under Romeo Fastidio, showcased the exceptional musical talent, precision, and teamwork of elementary schools across the municipality.

Linasin Elementary School took home ₱135,000 as grand prize. Laoag Integrated School placed 2nd (₱90,000), while Rabanes Elementary School secured 3rd place (₱70,000). Special awards were given to Laoag Integrated School (Best in Baton) and San Marcelino Elementary School (Best in Uniform).
Mayor Elvis Ragadio Soria emphasized the importance of youth participation in fostering discipline, unity, and excellence. The event highlighted not only competition, but a celebration of culture, talent, and community spirit among young Marcelineans.
