New Clark City — The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), led by President and CEO Federico Laxa, met with Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang to advance plans for a 13-hectare housing development in New Clark City.
The proposed project will feature 55 seven-story residential buildings designed to deliver affordable, safe, and quality homes for more than 7,700 BCDA employees and workers within the growing metropolis. The development aims to foster inclusive growth by ensuring that the workforce driving New Clark City’s progress has access to dignified and sustainable housing options near their place of work.
The initiative underscores the strong partnership between SHFC and BCDA in supporting the national government’s housing agenda under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, championed by Ferdinand Marcos Jr..
Through this collaboration, SHFC and BCDA reaffirm their shared commitment to building resilient communities where opportunities thrive — aligning infrastructure development with social responsibility and inclusive urban planning.
