BALER, Aurora – Thirty coconut farmers from Sitio Dipanamianan, Barangay Pingit in Baler, Aurora received cash incentives from the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) under the Participatory Coconut Planting Program (PCPP).
The beneficiaries received incentives ranging from P25 to P35 for every coconut seedling that met the program’s prescribed establishment and survival standards.
The PCPP encourages coconut farmers to produce their own quality planting materials while providing them with financial incentives and technical assistance to improve farm productivity.

Under the program, PCA provides technical support on seedling production, nursery establishment, planting, and proper farm management to help ensure the healthy growth and survival of coconut seedlings.
The initiative aims to increase the availability of quality coconut planting materials, support the rehabilitation and expansion of coconut farms, and provide farmers with an additional source of income.
PCA said the program is part of the government’s continuing efforts to strengthen the country’s coconut industry by promoting sustainable farming practices and improving the productivity and income of coconut farmers. (PIA Aurora)
