Mariveles, Bataan – The Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) strengthened coordination on port operations and trade facilitation following a courtesy call by customs officials.
AFAB Administrator and CEO Hussein Pangandaman received District Collector Atty. Kriden F. Balgomera, recently reassigned to the Port of Limay, together with Subport Collector Atty. Marc Anthony C. Patriarca, who also serves as Acting Deputy Collector for Assessment and Subport Collector of the Subport of Mariveles.
During the meeting, both sides underscored the importance of efficient cargo movement, streamlined procedures, and closer inter-agency coordination to support trade within the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).
The engagement highlights ongoing efforts by the BOC and AFAB to enhance port efficiency and facilitate business activities in the FAB.
