OLONGAPO CITY — A significant step toward modernizing education has been taken as the city government officially launched its NextGen Smart Classroom on May 4, 2026, aimed at providing students with a more innovative and future-ready learning environment.
Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. led the blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the Olongapo Civic Center, in partnership with the Department of Education – Olongapo City Schools Division Office.
“This NextGen Smart Classroom reflects our commitment to giving every Olongapeño student access to modern, innovative, and future-ready education. By investing in technology and better learning environments, we are preparing our youth to compete and succeed in a rapidly changing world,” Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. said.

The newly launched facility is designed to integrate modern technology into classroom instruction, making learning more interactive, engaging, and aligned with global education standards. Equipped with advanced tools and digital resources, the smart classroom is expected to enhance both teaching methods and student participation.
City officials highlighted that the initiative underscores the local government’s strong commitment to improving the quality of education in Olongapo. By investing in cutting-edge learning spaces, the city aims to equip young Olongapeños with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in an increasingly digital and competitive world.
