Mariveles, Bataan— The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) strengthened its commitment to efficient and people-centered governance as it joined the nationwide observance of Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month.
The celebration highlighted AFAB’s ongoing efforts to improve frontline government services and support the programs of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), which aims to simplify government transactions and reduce bureaucratic delays.
As part of its initiatives, AFAB introduced measures designed to make public transactions faster and more accessible for stakeholders within the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB). Among these are the implementation of the EODB Lane for High-Impact Services and the rollout of an Interactive Screen that provides clients with easy access to Citizens’ Charter requirements and other essential service information.
The agency also honored employees and offices that demonstrated excellence in public service through the Recognition of High-Performing Frontliners and Recognition of Departments with Best Practices, based on the results of the 2025 Client Satisfaction Measurement Reports.

AFAB Administrator and CEO Hussein P. Pangandaman stressed the importance of integrity and accountability in serving the public.
“The public deserves the best. This is where we stand — with Integrity, Commitment, and Excellence. Isapuso natin ang pagsisilbing dama ng taong bayan,” Pangandaman said in his message.
He likewise reminded AFAB employees that their work contributes not only to the agency’s goals but also to the welfare of workers, families, and communities in Bataan and neighboring provinces.
Through its participation in the EODB Month celebration, AFAB reaffirmed its mission to uphold public trust by continuously enhancing government services, promoting transparency, and creating a more business-friendly environment in the Freeport Area of Bataan.
