CLARK, Pampanga — In a major step toward improving healthcare access  for workers in the Clark Freeport Zone, Clark Development Corporation (CDC) officially launched its PhilHealth-accredited YAKAP Clinic, expanding primary healthcare services for employees and their families across Clark.

The launch took place during the “YAKAP para sa  Manggagawa” event held on May 25, 2026, at the CDC Auditorium, marking another milestone in CDC’s efforts to strengthen workforce welfare and public health services inside the Clark Freeport Zone.

Developed in partnership with PhilHealth, the YAKAP Clinic is designed to provide convenient and accessible primary healthcare to Clark employees and their dependents, offering services such as health screening, doctor consultations, prescriptions, laboratory testing, and access to essential medicines.

The initiative is expected to benefit more than 24,000 workers in Clark, according to Retired Police Major General Lina Castillo Sarmiento, CDC Vice President for Security Services Group, as part of the corporation’s broader commitment to employee health and well-being.

A major feature of the program is its integration with the GAMOT benefit, allowing registered members to avail of up to Php20,000 worth of essential medicines from participating pharmacies nationwide—further reducing healthcare costs for workers and their families.

During the launch, 100 employees from Clark-based companies including SIA Engineering Philippines (SIAEP), Clark Water Corporation, and Trener Industries Philippines Inc. were among the first beneficiaries enrolled in the program and able to access on-site medical services.

The event was attended by senior officials from PhilHealth and CDC, including PhilHealth Acting Vice President Atty. Ma. Emily P. Roque, Acting Branch Manager Dr. Rowena S. Zabat-San Mateo, and PhilHealth Angeles Head Robert C. Padron, all of whom expressed support for the continued rollout of the YAKAP and GAMOT programs.

CDC President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera underscored the importance of making healthcare services more accessible to workers.

“Katuwang ang PhilHealth, mas inilalapit natin dito sa Clark ang serbisyong pangkalusugan para sa ating mga kamanggagawa. Kaya magpa-YAKAP na at mag-avail ng libreng gamot dito sa Clark!” she said.

With the YAKAP Clinic now operational, CDC strengthens its mission of building a healthier, more productive workforce—ensuring that healthcare is not just a benefit, but a basic service made readily available to every worker and family in Clark. (Monifer Bansil)
