SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Subic generated an additional ₱378.71 million above its May 2026 revenue target, underscoring the port’s growing role in supporting government revenue generation and facilitating legitimate trade.
Led by District Collector Atty. Geniefelle P. Lagmay, the Port collected ₱4.471 billion in May, surpassing its assigned target of ₱4.092 billion by 9.25 percent.
The strong performance reflects increased trade activity through the Subic Bay Freeport and the Port’s continued efforts to ensure accurate valuation, efficient cargo processing, and strict compliance with customs regulations.
The District Collector said the revenue surplus contributes directly to funding government programs and public services while demonstrating the effectiveness of customs modernization and trade facilitation initiatives.
Lagmay emphasized that the accomplishment was made possible through the collective efforts of Port personnel, stakeholders, and partner agencies working together to promote lawful trade and strengthen revenue collection.
The Port of Subic has consistently remained among the Bureau’s top-performing collection districts, balancing revenue generation with the efficient movement of goods to support economic growth and investor confidence in the region.
As trade volumes continue to grow, the Port reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing customs operations, improving stakeholder services, and sustaining revenue performance in support of the Bureau of Customs’ mandate and the country’s economic development goals.
