CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga — Officials from the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) conducted a site inspection and held discussions with Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) officials on June 15, 2026, as part of efforts to advance plans for a proposed World Convention and Events Hub in Clark.
The WTCA delegation paid a courtesy call on CIAC officials before touring the proposed project site, which is envisioned to further position Clark as a premier destination for international trade, business events, conventions, and exhibitions.
Leading the delegation was WTCA-USA Executive Director for Business Development Robin van Puyenbroeck, accompanied by WTCA Vice-President for Asia Pacific Scott Wang; World Trade Center Management, Inc. Chairperson and CEO Pamela D. Pascual; Investment and Capital Corporation of the Philippines (ICCP) Senior Vice-President for Corporate Planning and Industrial Engineering Bienvenido Jose T. Alora; ICCP Corporate Planning Assistant Manager Mariette Guinto; and ICCP Industrial Engineering Senior Manager Mervyn Malvar.

The CIAC team was headed by President and Chief Executive Officer Jojit Alcazar, together with Directors Jaime Lazatin, Victor Manuel Jr., Rommel Santiago, and Noel Tulabut; Vice-President for Administration and Finance Nancy Paglinawan; and New Business Ventures Unit Head Melissa Feliciano and staff.
The visit follows the successful negotiations and approval by the CIAC Board of Directors on May 28, 2026, of the joint proposal submitted by World Trade Center Management, Inc. and Science Park of the Philippines, Inc. The proposal involves the lease of approximately 350,000 square meters of open land within the Clark Civil Aviation Complex for the development of the proposed project.

During the meeting, CIAC officials presented the corporation’s development roadmap, ongoing infrastructure projects, and strategic growth plans designed to enhance Clark’s competitiveness as a global investment and business destination.
The site inspection provided the WTCA delegation with a comprehensive understanding of the project area and its potential to host a world-class convention and events facility capable of attracting international exhibitions, conferences, trade fairs, and business gatherings.
Officials from both organizations expressed optimism that the project will contribute to Clark’s transformation into a leading center for commerce, tourism, and investment in the Asia-Pacific region while generating economic opportunities and supporting regional development.
The visit further strengthened collaboration between CIAC and WTCA stakeholders as discussions continue toward the realization of the proposed Clark World Convention and Events Hub.
