MARIVELES, Bataan — AboitizPower’s private limited partnerships, GNPower Mariveles Energy Center (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin (GNPD), reinforced their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments by partnering with the Municipal Government of Mariveles for Project Saysay Plus: Nutrition and Dental Mission, benefiting vulnerable sectors through preventive healthcare and nutrition interventions.
Held on July 21 at the Mariveles Sports Complex in line with National Nutrition Month, the initiative served 150 beneficiaries, including 60 malnourished children with their parents or guardians and 30 out-of-school LGBTQIA+ youth. The outreach provided free dental consultations, nutrition and hygiene education, as well as hygiene kits, tumblers, and umbrellas to promote better health practices and improve access to essential services.

The activity also highlighted employee volunteerism, with five GMEC and GNPD employees celebrating their July birthdays dedicating their time to community service under the company’s corporate volunteer programme.
Project Saysay Plus builds on the success of Project Saysay, AboitizPower’s employee-led corporate social responsibility initiative introduced in 2023. Named after the Filipino word saysay, meaning “purpose” or “value,” the programme encourages employees to celebrate personal milestones by giving back to host communities.

The programme was expanded in 2026 to incorporate Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) sessions alongside the distribution of assistance, enabling communities to gain practical knowledge on nutrition, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.
Through Project Saysay Plus, GMEC and GNPD continue to strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders while investing in community resilience, demonstrating how employee engagement and strategic social investments can generate long-term value for host communities.
