OLONGAPO CITY – Continuous heavy rains since this morning have caused flooding in several barangays and led to the collapse of a slope protection structure along the Old Cabalan National Highway.

Olongapo City Mayor Atty. Rolen Paulino Jr. personally visited the affected portion of the highway to assess the situation and ensure the safety of residents and motorists.
The Old Cabalan National Highway remains passable, but only two lanes are currently open following the slope protection collapse.
Meanwhile, several barangays are already experiencing flooding, while some roads have become impassable due to rising floodwaters.
The city government, together with concerned agencies, continues to conduct assessments and coordinate necessary response measures in affected areas.
Residents and motorists are advised to remain vigilant, avoid flooded and unsafe roads, and follow advisories from local authorities.
