HERMOSA, Bataan — The Municipal Government of Hermosa officially launched the Ngiting Bulilit 3-20 Program on August 27 to promote early oral health care and help young children develop healthy primary teeth.
The program was launched through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Municipal Government of Hermosa, the Philippine Dental Association–Bataan Chapter, and the Philippine Pediatric Dental Society, Inc. (PPDSI).
Mayor Anne Lorraine Inton emphasized the importance of starting proper oral health practices at an early age, noting that good dental habits established during childhood can help prevent health problems and contribute to the overall well-being of children.
As part of the initiative, PPDSI is promoting its “Clean After Feeding” Campaign, which encourages parents and caregivers to practice proper oral hygiene among children after feeding.

The campaign aims to help Filipino children achieve 20 healthy primary teeth by the age of three, while emphasizing the importance of preventive dental care during the early years of childhood.
The initiative also seeks to increase awareness among parents and caregivers about the importance of regular dental care, proper oral hygiene, and early intervention to prevent dental problems.
The program was led by Councilors Gelly Santos, Jinkee Alonzo, and Jason Enriquez, together with Dr. Jay Nuevo and representatives of partner agencies and organizations.
Through the partnership, the municipal government and its partners aim to strengthen community-based oral health programs and encourage families to make proper dental care part of their children’s daily routine.
The Ngiting Bulilit 3-20 Program forms part of Hermosa’s continuing efforts to promote the health and well-being of children through preventive healthcare and stronger collaboration with professional organizations and community partners.
