SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Subic collected P4.42 billion in August 2026, exceeding its monthly revenue target by P248.75 million, as the port sustained efforts to strengthen collection and facilitate legitimate trade.
Based on the port’s collection report covering Aug. 1 to 31, the Port of Subic generated P4,422,705,629.57, surpassing its target of P4,173,952,333.65 by P248,753,295.92, or 5.96 percent.
District Collector Atty. Geniefelle P. Lagmay credited the accomplishment to the dedication, professionalism and collective efforts of port personnel.
“This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and collective effort of our personnel. Surpassing our August target demonstrates our commitment to fulfilling our revenue collection mandate while providing efficient and responsive customs service,” Lagmay said.
“We will continue to work together to sustain this momentum and deliver on our responsibilities to the Filipino people,” he added.
The port said the strong collection performance also supports the continuing reform initiatives of BOC Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno, particularly the Integrity, Accountability, and Modernization (IAM) Movement, which promotes professionalism, integrity and institutional accountability across the Bureau.
The initiative is intended to strengthen customs operations while advancing modernization efforts to improve processes and service delivery.
The Port of Subic said it would continue to pursue revenue generation, operational efficiency and excellence in public service in support of the BOC’s mandate to facilitate legitimate trade, secure the country’s borders and provide efficient, transparent and responsive customs service.
