HERMOSA, Bataan — Hermosa Mayor Anne Lorraine Adorable- Inton is exploring potential applications of Korean artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics technology as the municipality looks at new opportunities for innovation and future development.
Inton said she recently met with representatives of BGC Best Global Center Inc., led by Chief Operating Officer Jaewoo Jacob Jeon and Jeemin Lee, to discuss proposed programs and initiatives, including the potential use of Korean AI robot technology.

The meeting was also attended by Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Board of Director John Inton and Hermosa Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) Engr. Ejay Salenga.
According to Mayor Inton, the discussions covered possible initiatives that could introduce emerging technologies into future development programs in the municipality.
She said the potential application of AI and robotics technology could open opportunities for innovation and technology-driven development, although specific projects, investments and implementation plans have yet to be finalized.
The meeting forms part of the municipality’s efforts to explore partnerships with private-sector groups and technology companies in identifying solutions that could support local development.
The municipality is expected to further discuss the proposed initiatives with the company as consultations progress.
