SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The municipal government is allocating educational assistance of up to P2,000 per qualified student for Academic Year 2026–2027, using local government resources to help families meet school expenses from elementary through college.
Under the San Antonio Educational Assistance Program, Kinder to Grade 6 pupils will receive P500, Grade 7 to Grade 12 students P1,000, and college students P2,000.
The program covers qualified learners and students who are children of San Antonio residents and forms part of the municipality’s continuing spending on education and youth development.

The local government said the assistance is made possible in part by municipal revenues and residents’ compliance with their financial obligations, including real property taxes, business permits, tricycle permits, building permits, fencing permits and other applicable fees.
“These contributions form part of the municipal funds allocated for programs and services for the community, including assistance for education,” the municipal government said.
The program is being implemented with the participation of parents, teachers, barangay officials and workers, and other community stakeholders.
The municipal government said the assistance is intended to help reduce education-related costs for families while supporting students’ continued schooling.
“Ang pondong nagmumula sa bayan ay ibinabalik sa bayan,” it said, emphasizing the use of local revenues for programs that directly benefit residents.
The initiative positions education spending as a long-term investment in the municipality’s youth, helping build skills and opportunities that can contribute to San Antonio’s future workforce and local economy.
