SAN MARCELINO, Zambales — Private-sector investment in San Marcelino got a boost with the opening of G-Plaza Community Mall and the new BDO Network Bank branch along the National Highway in Barangay San Guillermo.
The commercial complex formally opened on October 5, 2026, with a ribbon-cutting and blessing led by former Iloilo City congresswoman and G-Mall owner Dra. Pacita T. Gonzales.
San Marcelino Mayor Elvis Ragadio Soria welcomed the investment, saying the new mall and banking facility would provide additional business and employment opportunities while bringing essential services closer to residents.
“We thank G-Mall and BDO Network Bank for their trust and investment in San Marcelino,” Soria said.
The G-Plaza Community Mall houses a mix of businesses and services, including restaurants, coffee shops, a drugstore, hardware store, banking services and a dialysis center.

The opening also marked the relocation of BDO Network Bank from the town proper to the new commercial complex, giving residents and local businesses access to banking services along the municipality’s national highway.
Soria said the development reflects the continuing growth of San Marcelino’s commercial sector and could help create opportunities for local entrepreneurs and other businesses.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Sangguniang Bayan led by Vice Mayor Jimbo Ragadio Gongora, Botolan Mayor Omar Ebdane, representing Zambales Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr., doctors from San Marcelino District Hospital and BDO Network Bank representatives.
Rev. Fr. Orlando B. Correa officiated the blessing.
The opening adds a new commercial hub outside San Marcelino’s traditional town center, expanding access to retail, financial and other essential services for residents and businesses in the municipality.
